Savor Saint Louis is brought to you by the Smith family, owners and operators of one of Saint Louis’ most-beloved corner taverns and restaurants, The Royale Food & Spirits, now in its tenth year of operation. Winning popular and critical acclaim since its opening, The Royale is a true corner tavern, with a loyal following, brought in by the convivial service, excellent drink menu and exceptional pub fare. When looking for restaurants with whom to work on this projects, many of the same qualities were sought in our partners and we feel we’ve brought together an exceptional group of independently-owned business, all of whom meet our standards.
The Savor Smiths
A former flight attendant, who loves exploring different cities, their farmers markets and restaurants, Susie calls Saint Louis home. Giving tours is second nature to her in that she served as a docent at the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio in Chicago and the Chatillon-DeMenil House in Saint Louis. She takes cooking classes, enjoys preparing unique family meals and will never pass up an opportunity to eat out and explore the cuisines of her fair city.
An avid lover of food, family and Saint Louis, Jennifer loves to find the newest culinary hotspots in the city and enjoy them with her family – so a family owned and operated food tour business was a natural next step for her. When not exploring the next food tour-worthy venue, Jennifer works in the advertising industry and is a full-time mother to Chloe and Cooper – both up-and-coming foodies of the future.
Steven was raised and educated in Saint Louis, Missouri. He started in the food business busing and running the dish washer at the tender age of 13 and went on to work as a waiter and bartender. During college, he gave custom tours of Saint Louis to visiting dignitaries and eventually started his own underground tour business. He has combined both of his favorite activities and now runs a bar and restaurant in South Saint Louis. A true fan of the city, he enjoys showing visitors what he loves about it.
Patrick, the patriarch of the Smith family, plays the critical role of accountant in the food tour operation. Providing sound financial advice and always making sure our staff and partners are paid on time, we appreciate all of his hard work. We also appreciate that he will eat all of our leftovers during family meals.

As someone who’s been lucky enough to travel around the globe, I always come back home to Saint Louis. I love showing it off to others, whether that’s well known or not so well known places.
I'm always energized by all Saint Louis has to offer - from the rich history to the vibrant food scene. If you don't see me exploring the neighborhood, I'm out riding my bike or trying new recipes!
Originally from Memphis, Amanda loves sampling St. Louis foodie fare with her family (she's partial to grits). She also used to be a tour guide for a docked Antarctic Research Vessel docked in Oregon!

I'm a native St. Louisan who never misses a chance to show off my city. My background is in accounting and public media. Now I do architectural tours and food tours which let me brag about St. Louis.
I've lived my whole life in St. Louis but never tire of playing "hometown tourist." The city offers so much culture (and such great eats!) and I love to share that with people.
